Cristal - Posted on May 18, 2010About three years ago i was in a depression, doesn't matter if i didn't think of suicide because cutting was just as bad. I was going through some hard times and i decided to try to ease the pain by cutting I remember sitting alone or not talking to anybody, thinking no one understood what i was going through. Feeling so sad and just hopeless. That coming year my life would be changed forever by God. He showed me his mercy and redemptive love. When i saw this movie it brought tears of joy to my eyes, there are so many people hurting out in the world, especially teens we just need to pray to God that he gives us his eyes to see the pain people have.

Hailey - Posted on May 17, 2010When I saw this movie it started a fire in my heart that has overflown to those around me. My eyes have been opened and Christ has been using me to share the light in my school. Such as a girl that I never noticed before is going down the road of pain and now she is coming to my youth group and is becoming interested in God. Praise the Lord!

Tabitha - Posted on May 16, 2010Growing up I was depressed, filled with self-loathing and believing no-one cared whether I lived or died. When I was fourteen, I wanted only to die. I attempted suicide, then begged God to spare my life. He did. But in another week, I was seeking another way to commit suicide. I cut because I hated myself so much I felt I only deserved pain.
The day I went home to kill myself, I decided to check my email. There was an e-mail from a boy I had met at youth recently. The message was short: "I think you're awesome, and you are loved." The great thing about God is He doesn't just leave us with a few words then disappear. The next day, my youth leader came to school looking for me. Without knowing what had been going on he told me he had noticed the sparkle in my eye was gone and he wanted to help me get it back. Moral? Never underestimate the power of kind words. They might save a life. |

Raquel Aguilar - Posted on May 16, 2010My Dad took our family; my mom, two sisters and I; to the movies in San Diego; which is two hours away from where we live; we saw To Save A Life and I cried. I knew I had felt like that and I wanted to help other people know that they were loved. I know that there are too many people for only one person to help directly, so I want other people to see the movie and experience what I did.

Ashleigh - Posted on May 16, 2010Tonight I saw this movie with my youth group and I was unbelievably touched by this movie. I cannot even explain how attached I got to the movie and its meaning. I became very attached to Jonny's character the most. I feel exactly how he felt. I was a cutter and I felt misplaced in the world around me. I have attempted suicide many times. But after seeing this, I am very glad I did not succeed. This movie helped me believe that God put me on Earth for a purpose. A purpose to live my life to the fullest. I cried so much in this movie because of how attached I was. And all of the characters somehow fit with my life. I just could not believe how amazing this story was. Definitely not like your typical movie.

Kaitlyn Breanne - Posted on May 16, 2010When i first saw this movie I thought it was truly amazing. :) I was bullied up until this year when I changed schools and I'm still bullied by a few people. This movie changed my life in a whole new way. I've been trying to get people to be sweeter to each other and stop bullying and I plan on making a change. We can't keep living our lives with people being hurt and beat up all around us. And I won't let us live like that. (:

Hannah - Posted on May 15, 2010Okay I went to see this movie with my youth group. Tell you the truth I thought it was going to be just another movie well when it got started I was thinking "Oh just another movie about the 'star' basketball player" then it got REAL deep when the boy walked in school with a gun. Tell you the truth, I cried when he shot himself. Then they introduced you to Jonny, the boy who cut his arms, and I thought of myself. I used to do that stuff. When it was showing him cutting himself I looked at my arm and started to cry. It killed me to think THAT was ME! When I walked out of the movie I went up to my Youth director and his wife hugged them thanked them and told them I loved them. Thank you to all the actors and to the director. I really needed a movie like this. Thank you SO much, you changed my life forever!
