JAKE TAYLOR is the star point guard for his baskteball team. He has a gift for spotting teammates and getting them the ball. After a tragedy in his personal life, he develops a similar sense about spotting lonely schoolmates in need of a friend. When he steps forward to offer that friendship, it begins to threaten every other relationship in his life.
